My Qualifications and Techniques
As well as what is listed below, I also set up and ran Slimming World for over three years in Wallingford and then set up a diet and exercise class for a year before being asked by Berinsfield GP Surgery to run a slimming class for their patients. I ran the class for about two years.
In 2011 myself and a business partner opened Lifestyles Rehab, Gym & Performance Centre on Howbery Park, Benson Lane, Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Two years later my business partner and former Olympic hockey player pursued her dream of coaching hockey when a brilliant opportunity came up for her in Belgium, so I continued with the business by myself until 2022.
Unfortunately, due to four Covid lockdowns and many gym members not having to return to work as everyone was able to work from home, my business was not able to recover and then my husband died from Cancer in March 2022 so I ended up having to let the business go.
I am now enjoying freelance work once more and I am able to either work from my beautiful boat in Caversham near Reading (RG4 6LQ), or rent out a treatment room at The Space Place, Rotherfield Greys, Henley on Thames RG9 4QG or visit peoples’ homes or more often than not, working via zoom as all my work can be carried out via distance – including the manipulations!!! That is where my work becomes amazing!
Some courses have been repeated due to the criteria needed to pass, keep the qualification current or simply because there was so much to learn that I wanted to re-take the course so I could fully understand and absorb it.
